The exterior features a flame-retardant coating over 100% cotton fireproof canvas fabric, which helps prevent the mitt from catching fire under brief exposure to flames. The interior is lined with 40 GSM non-woven fabric for comfort, while the 560 GSM reclaimed cotton filling enhances insulation. GSM (grams per square metre) is an indicator of fabric strength—higher GSM values generally mean greater durability and resilience.
